More Weekend Renovations

Saturday Evening - hanging drywall

So, the next step is sanding. This is by far the worst part ever. It takes forever. It makes a mess. It makes me wish I'd hired someone to do this instead of doing it ourselves! But, since it's a bit too late for that at this point, I think we're going to invite a bunch of people over, offer them booze and food, and give them all some sand paper! I'm thinking we could be done in no time if we can get about 15 - 20 people! :P

Weekend Renovations

Friday


more mud on the wall, trying to even it out

removed the ugly piece of wood over the joist in the stairs


cut through to the other side of the new entrance to the basement! (blocking it off with the gyp. board so the pups don't try to go down the stairs this way!)


Saturday


wood lathe as blockade!


widened the opening between the living room and kitchen


propped up the electrical for the downstairs

Removing the radiators so we came skim coat behind them.
